Navigating Puberty
Children and young people who have a learning disability can experience increased challenges before or during puberty, from understanding the changes in their bodies to expressing their feelings and managing the difference between public and private behaviours.
We were fortunate to have a visit from the NSPCC Schools service Dedicated SEND Schools Coordinator for the East Region. She has pointed us in the direction of some appropriate resources to support parents with navigating puberty.
