What is ELKLAN?

ELKLAN provides effective training to ensure that each member of staff can support the development of a child’s speech, language and communication.

ELKLAN training is designed to up-skill teachers and teaching assistants in speech, language and communication to support their day-to-day work with children.

The Bridge school has received ELKLAN accreditation by completing the Communication Friendly Setting qualifications.  The school is an environment which supports the communication and language development of all pupils across the campus. Communication is at the heart of learning and well-being.

Well done on achieving the required standards on the final audit. I observed some lovely examples of classroom practice, and also saw that visuals are being used across the whole school to promote a communication friendly environment.
