In Early Years, we follow The Bridge School Creative Curriculum and assess against our own bespoke TBS EYFS Plus framework, which is designed to complement the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for assessment.
 
Our curriculum map offers children a broad range of topics to experience across all areas of learning, including the Early Years Foundation Stage, which teachers can select and adapt as appropriate, to suit the needs of their children.
 
We understand that play is an important part of the EYFS. More importantly we understand that many of our children can find ‘play’ challenging or overwhelming due to their cognitive load. 

We therefore offer a more structured approach to learning with many subject specific lessons, as well as Rainbow Learning activities. 

Rainbow Learning activities are play activities that are planned to complement what the children have been learning in subject specific lessons, and remain the same during each half term for familiarity. 

During Rainbow Learning sessions the children also have access to activities and resources that support their interests as well as their aspiration targets.
