Big Period Day
An element of our personal, social, emotional health (PSHE) and science learning is to learn about how our bodies change.
Year 4, 5 and 6 female students are introduced to how their bodies will change during puberty. A part of this is learning about menstruation, what it is and how they can deal with it and the support we can offer. Over the last couple of years, we have joined Brookes Big Period Day and this year we will be holding learning sessions for these pupils.
We want to say a huge thank you to Phil at Atlas FM for all the hard work he and his team put in to generously provide an Easter treat for every pupil at The Bridge School Ipswich, Felixstowe and Bramford Lane! We’re so grateful for your kindness!

Our very first science and maths Building Bridges competition was a success and will now become an annual event!!
The judges were so impressed — every creation was linked beautifully to the curriculum, and the standard was incredible. All the home bakes were fantastic! Choosing a winner was definitely not easy! A huge well done to everyone who took part!
