Literacy Planet

We have invested in a very exciting Literacy programme called 'Literacy Planet': https://www.literacyplanet.com

This is a very powerful tool full of interesting literacy games, stories and phonics exercises; designed to be engaging and fun.

Every child has been set up with a personal login and teachers are assigning specific exercises to suit the child. In the first instance we are are introducing children to the programme via the section called 'MY WORDS'. The words here have been input by teachers to reflect the topics being covered in lessons this half-term. You may also be interested to look in the 'LIBRARY' section which contains texts that are levelled and suitable for each child.

There are then lots of different exercise, games and puzzles that use these words. We will be adding assignment types over time. However, you can go into any area of the programme at any time to try things out as you wish.

Pupils all have their own personal login and progress and success are measured in real-time. Your child's personal login will be sent to you sometime in the next few days, by the class teacher.

There is no obligation to use the programme: this is for information and to invite you to use it if you would find it helpful.
